Parts of the cooling circuit

The cooling system lets the engine run at an efficient and safe temperature. This category includes water pumps and impellers, radiators, oil cooler cores, fan hubs and water temperature regulators (thermostats).

Selection and care

When replacing a water pump it makes sense to inspect the thermostat, belt and hoses too. Use coolant of the type and mix ratio the manufacturer recommends, and clean the outside of the cores regularly, because a clogged core is among the most common causes of overheating.
